The Sage and the Seeker

Beneath the oak, so broad and wise,
An old woman sat, with knowing eyes.
A young woman approached, full of hope and fear,
“Tell me, dear elder, of love that draws near.
I’ve met a soul who mirrors my own,
But at times, I feel all hope has flown.
Is he my twin, or merely a guise?
How can I trust what the heart denies?”
The elder smiled, her face etched with time,
“You’ve asked the question that echoes in rhyme.
Listen, young one, for I’ve walked this road,
Through love’s tempest, where wisdom is sowed.
A twin flame is rare, a bond so deep,
It awakens the soul from the quietest sleep.
Yet beware the false flame, who often appears,
Testing your spirit, heightening fears.
The false one feels real, pulls you in tight,
Their passion burns strong but dims with the night.
They’ll teach you through trials, of ego and strain,
But know in this fire, there’s much to gain.
For every false twin that shakes you apart,
Clears the path to your truest heart.
You’ll grow through the ache, through shadows once blurred,
And learn to embrace both the seen and unheard.
But the true twin, my dear, stands through the storm,
Their presence will heal, even as love transforms.
They’ll push you to grow, but never betray,
And in their arms, your fears melt away.
So how do you know, in a world full of test?
It’s how they remain when love’s truly pressed.
A false flame will flee, leaving you cold,
While the true twin stays, no matter the hold.
But listen, sweet one, and heed this tale,
Whether real or false, love will prevail.
For even a twin that isn’t for you
Will shape your path, and carry you through.
So handle it all with grace in your soul,
Trust the Divine, which already knows.
When the real twin flame comes, you will see,
Their love helps you rise, and sets you free.”
The younger woman pondered, still filled with doubt,
“How will I know what this journey’s about?
How do I tell when the love is pure,
Or if it’s a test I must endure?”
“Patience, dear child,” the old woman said,
“Let your heart guide, not just your head.
A false flame burns fast, then flickers away,
But a true flame will stay, day after day.
Grace is your anchor, in love and in loss,
For every step forward bears its cost.
Don’t chase what’s fleeting or bound to depart,
Let the divine plan unfold in your heart.
For even in pain, there’s strength to be gained,
Each moment you face, your soul is trained.
And when the time comes, if he’s meant to be,
Your twin flame will find his way back to thee.”
The young woman bowed, with wisdom anew,
She now saw love’s journey with a clearer view.
For false or true, it’s the heart’s gentle test,
That guides her toward what will serve her best.
With grace she’d walk, through joy and through pain,
Knowing love’s lessons are never in vain.
